RfT released for NZ soldier tactical simulation

A Request for Tender has been released by the New Zealand Defence Force to procure a Tactical Engagement Simulation System (TESS) to train dismounted and vehicle mounted soldiers.

A live-action laser-based TESS will allow a Combined Arms Task Group to improve minor infantry tactics training with replicas of a variety of weapons.

Procurement will take place over three tranches, with the first tranche designed to provide systems for a Light Task Group of 300 personnel.

Tranches two and three requirements have not been confirmed but it is expected they will be purchased from the existing tranche one supplier.
