Raytheon expands cybersecurity portfolio with acquisition of Trusted Computer Solutions
Raytheon Company has acquired Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS),a privately held company that delivers a comprehensive portfolio of cross-domain, operating system and network security solutions. The acquisition is the seventh transaction related to the cybersecurity market for Raytheon since 2007, further advancing the company's ability to deliver the end-to-end cyber solutions required to combat the most sophisticated threats that customers face.
The transaction is not expected to materially impact Raytheon's sales or earnings per share for the fourth quarter of 2010 or fiscal year 2011. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Founded in 1994, Trusted Computer Solutions is an industry leader in cross-domain and cybersecurity software and services that enable organizations to manage and share information securely across multiple classification levels and domains. Its accredited products enable customers to protect themselves against a range of threats and ensure confidential and secure sharing and collaboration. Trusted Computer Solutions is one of the largest repositories of Trusted Operating System engineering talent and expertise in the world, which will enable Raytheon to offer a broader range of solutions to its customers.
The company will now be known as Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions and will be integrated into Raytheon's Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) business within the Information Security Solutions product line. Trusted Computer Solutions is based in Herndon, Va.
