Raytheon awarded NGJ-MB support work
Raytheon has been awarded a $74 million contract modification to deliver pre-operational support for the US Navy’s Next Generation Jammer-Mid Band pod.
This contract covers support throughout the completion of the engineering, manufacturing and development (EMD) phase, as well as development, test and evaluation (DT&E) stage.
Procured support for the pod includes organisational-level maintenance, repair, supply chain management, and material support for equipment delivered under the EMD contract, and associated support equipment/test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment to support the DT&E.
Work will be performed in Forest in Mississippi, Dallas in Texas, El Segundo in California, Andover in Massachusetts, and Fort Wayne in Indiana, and is expected to be completed in December 2021.
FY19 navy research, development, test and evaluation funds of $3.23 million were allocated at time of award, and the Naval Air Systems Command based at Patuxent River in Maryland is the contracting activity.
