Paris Air Show: Octopod spreads its tentacles
German company Aerodata unveiled its new all-in-one surveillance pod, the Octopod, at the Paris Air Show this year.
The company’s new product contains eight different surveillance sensors and imaging systems, which it claims to make it the only pod of its type currently on the market. Aerodata has worked with partner Optimare, which provides most of the sensors for the unit.
‘The unique capability of this solution comes from the fact that it is an all-in-one system which can cope with a broad range missions,’ Nils Robbe, director of marketing at Aerodata, told Shephard.
