OSI navigation systems for Swedish subs
OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) will provide navigation systems for Swedish Royal Navy submarines under a contract from Saab announced on 1 December.
The company will supply its Tactical Dived Navigation Systems (TDNS) for installation on Sweden’s two new A26 submarines. OSI will design, build and integrate a system for each submarine.
The TDNS is designed specifically for subsurface platforms. It has been developed with a bespoke hardware design and offers the full operational capability of OSI’s ECPINS Submarine, which has been independently certified against NATO WECDIS STANAG 4564. The system will also be closely interfaced with other submarine systems and sensors.
