NZ Army confirms SitaWare

The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) announced on 7 November that the government had approved acquisition of the SitaWare battle management system.

Built by Danish firm Systematic, the contract for the system and integration consultancy to be utilised by the New Zealand Army will cost NZ$11 million ($8.1 million) over a three-year period.

Defence minister Gerry Brownlee said, ‘The new system will enable the NZDF to gain a complete picture of the situation on the ground and share information quickly.’ SitaWare will link headquarters, units, vehicles and individuals.
