New portable video display Solutions deliver interactive collaboration, training to military field operations
Luidia, Inc., a global technology and interactive solutions provider, today announced that the interactive technology of the eBeam Edge will now be a part of the Visual Display System (VDS) from HDT Engineered Technologies (HDT), a provider of highly-engineered mobile military and emergency response solutions. The new eBeam-HDT technology integration gives HDT Visual Display System an interactive workspace on which to collaborate and communicate better anywhere, anytime in any extreme field condition in the world.
HDT Visual Display System users can now leverage the power of Luidia's eBeam Edge to dynamically transform projected content from any computer into an interactive platform that allows users to problem-solve, share diagrams, and produce dynamic training - as well as create, save and share meeting notes -- in a large interactive area.
The eBeam Edge works with standard computers and projectors to transform existing whiteboards and flat surfaces into interactive, collaborative workspaces. Luidia's patented technology makes it easy for users to present, annotate and interact with projected content, while capturing the results, which can be shared over the Internet.
Military or homeland security users, especially in response scenarios, require portable, flexible, and survivable command and control operations facilities. The VDS delivers reliable video communications in the most demanding environments and against many threats and is adaptable for expeditionary environments where durability, weight, size, set up time, and quality of visual presentation are significant factors. The new HDT-Luidia eBeam integrated solution weighs just 88 pounds and can be moved easily from one location to another and can be set up in minutes.
"We are proud of our advancements in our ISS product line. Our goal has been to create solutions that are well-engineered, easy to use, set up and take down, and that are adaptable to mission requirements," said Jeff Pufahl, HDT ISS Product Manager. "We received many requests for fixed interactive whiteboards as part of our VDS solution. Typical whiteboards can weigh over 50 pounds and are cumbersome and expensive. With the streamlined eBeam solution from Luidia, we can now offer an interactive capability to the Video Display System without adding additional weight."
"Clear and reliable communication is key to the infrastructure of both the military and homeland security," said Luidia Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development, Roy Erez. "Integration of our interactive technology with HDT Visual Display Systems will empower government organizations to communicate more effectively, even in challenging field environments."
