MILCOM 10: US Army braced for 'cuts and consolidation' in communications

US Army director of architecture, operations, networks and space Maj Gen Mark Bowman today spelt out to delegates at the MILCOM conference a future of cuts and consolidation in the communications arena.

Looking ahead to the next decade in military communications, Bowman kicked off by describing how the army would rationalise its existing 279 data centres by some 75 per cent by the end of Financial Year 2015.
