Meggitt to supply TMS to GDLS
Meggitt Defense Systems has received a contract from General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) to provide Thermal Management Systems (TMS) for the M1A2 SEPv3 and M1A2 KSA main battle tanks, the company announced on 29 January.
The $26 million award will support GDLS’s contract with the US government for the upgrade of 786 M1 Abrams for the US Army and foreign military sale contracts.
The TMS provides active cooling to Abrams upgraded electronics and crew, removing excess heat produced by onboard electronic equipment.
