Maintenance completed early on E-4B

Boeing has recently completed maintenance on one of the four US Air Force E-4B advanced airborne command posts earlier than planned.

It was the first E-4B serviced at Boeing’s San Antonio site, as previously maintenance was carried out at the company’s Wichita site.

The planned heavy maintenance was completed 21 days early, according to Bryan Scott, San Antonio senior site executive at Boeing, and the aircraft has been returned to the US Air Force.

Boeing will be expecting to carry out maintenance on the other three aircraft in the fleet, although the time-line regarding this could not be revealed by
