LIMA 2017: Honeywell pushes efficiency solutions

Honeywell announced its largest ever contract in Indonesia with a deal for 34 TPE331 turboprop engines for NC212 aircraft being built by PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI).

According to the contract, signed on 21 March, the engines will be delivered to PTDI from 2017-20 and the possibility exists for further orders if sales of the NC212i take off. The Philippine Air Force is awaiting delivery of two NC212i aircraft soon.

Meanwhile at LIMA 2017 Honeywell said that one approach to help countries like Malaysia more efficiently operate in the battlespace is through reliable satellite communications capabilities for both fixed- and rotary-wing
