LIMA 2017: Aselsan unveils anti-UAV jammer

As the worldwide growth in anti-drone technology continues Aselsan displayed its own counter-UAS capability to the public for the first time at the LIMA 2017 exhibition in Langkawi.

Some of the man-pack Ihasavar, which means 'drone fighter', jammers were recently delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces with the system being rushed into service as an urgent operational requirement.

An Aselsan spokesman told Shephard: 'The short development period of six months is due to the prevalence of threats caused by drones and the urgency to deliver a solid solution to customers.'
