IDEB 2018: Czech forces invest in advanced EW tech

The Czech Republic is expanding its electronic warfare (EW) capabilities, investing in advanced jamming systems and next generation signal analysis technology as Russia continues to intensify its activity in the region.

The army received a second-generation Symon signal analysis system at the end of 2017, providing forces with the ability to conduct automated reconnaissance, direction finding, monitoring, technical analysis and localisation of radio signals in HF, VHF and UHF frequency bands.
