GovSat secures NATO AGS space segment

GovSat has been awarded a contract by NATO to supply the satellite communications (SATCOM) space segment to the Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS) programme. 

A public-private joint venture between the Luxembourg Government and SES GovSat is currently working on putting into place all of the operations that will be needed to move forward with the programme, according to CEO Patrick Biewer.

Speaking at Global MilSatCom conference on 8 November Biewer announced that the company concluded talks with NATO and signed a contract on 7 November. 

The contract was awarded by the NATO communications and information agency.
