Germany continues to develop cyber command

The German Armed Forces is continuing to expand its Cyber and Information Domain Service Command (CIDS) as part of ongoing efforts to improve the nation’s ability to take defensive and offensive action in the cyber domain.

The ongoing development of the service is part of Germany’s strategy to maintain pace with technology advances in the cyber and information domains, Col Armin Fleischmann, director of planning at CIDS, told delegates at the Defence Geospatial Intelligence conference in London on 23 January.
