Future Soldier 2025: Power Technology (video)

A new battery pack has been created by Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Command (CERDEC) to replace the large and bulky batteries currently used by the US Army.

Speaking to Shephard at AUSA 2015, Staff Sgt David Carter of CERDEC explained how the new technology is part of the Future Soldier 2025 vision.

The current batteries are not rechargeable, difficult to use and are no good if they take one round, he noted. Personnel are also unable to view the remaining power on the current batteries.
