Farnborough: CAE secures Eurofighter S&T upgrade

The German BWB has contracted CAE to provide upgrades to Eurofighter simulators at four main operating bases (MOBs) in Germany.

Under the contract, signed in June and worth more than C$10 million, CAE will conduct the work over the next 30 months to upgrade the simulators to be ready-for-training by December 2016.

At each MOB, there is a Eurofighter full-mission simulator (FMS) along with a Eurofighter cockpit trainer (CT).  At each base, two Eurofighter simulators will be getting the visual upgrade – a total of eight Eurofighter training devices (four FMSs and four CTs).
