Farnborough 2012: Moog looks to further ProtectIR

Moog has used the Farnborough International Airshow to demonstrate the potential that its ProtectIR sensor pod has for developing military markets.

Robert Coveny, strategic consultant for the company, told Shephard that it has delivered seven of the pods to a customer in the UAE, but is looking to market the system to countries with limited budgets that want to leverage the capability of their legacy platforms.

'These countries don't have the budgets but have the need,' Coveny explained. 'The pod gives them the flexibility. We're trying to get end user demand.
