Experts highlight increased cyber threat over Crimea

Territorial disputes between Russian and Ukraine over Crimea have led to an increase in cyber terrorism in the region and sparked debate on the ownership of certain attacks, an industry expert has revealed.

Cyber attacks have been evident from both sides involved in the conflict and have included a variety of different attacks that range in style and sophistication, Andrew Beckett, head of Cyber Security UK at Airbus Defence and Space, told a media briefing on 23 April.

Attacks have included simple yet effective methods such as the infiltration of Russian websites to accuse the country of fascist behaviour,
