Experts have warned that networked, battlefield technology is highly vulnerable to cyber attacks and without a fundamental shift in the approach miliatries take to delivering cyber security, troops could be left defenceless.
Over the last decade military platforms and personnel have become increasingly connected enabling them to share information using voice, video or imagery and to distribute and receive information collected by networked sensors.
However, to keep these systems protected from state or criminal cyber attacks a fundamental shift in the relationship between government and industry is required, according to a panel of experts speaking at Thales’ cyber security media
