EW Europe: Raytheon Deutschland presents new digital receiver
Raytheon Deutschland is to display its Advanced Radar Detection System (ARDS) at the EW Europe conference in London.
The company has developed the new digital receiver technology to replace the analogue Emitter Locator System (ELS) receiver systems on aircraft such as Tornado offering a significant increase in capability.
Andreas Radermacher the company lead on ARDS from Raytheon Deutschland told Shephard : ‘The system is much more capable, the one GHz instantaneous bandwidth, phenomenal sensitivity because of digital receiver technology you can process your receiver to death and you can do this in almost real time to visit the entire spectrum
