EW Europe: EW can lead fight on terror

The proliferation of mobile communications over the past decade has made controlling and predicting terror attacks increasingly difficult.

It is here that electronic warfare (EW) capabilities can make a real contribution. Discussions at the EW Europe conference in London on 7-8 June highlighted that the majority of recent terror incidents in Europe have been relatively low-tech, characterised by the use of cars, knives and simple explosives or guns, but there are warning against complacency.
