Eurosatory 2012: Raytheon proves MAINGATE capability

Raytheon's Mobile Ad hoc Interoperability Network Gateway (MAINGATE) has demonstrated 43 nodes for the first time in anticipation of the US Army network integration evaluation (NIE) phase 13.1 in October.

The testing finished some two to three weeks ago, and the nodes were linked in a constant, continuous network on vehicles and fixed sites, and was conducted in California, US.

'It looks like we're going to demonstrate that many in NIE 13.1,' Scott Whatmough, VP of integrated communication systems for Raytheon told Shephard during the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris, France on 11 June.
