BAE Systems has unveiled a version of its Q-Sight helmet-mounted display (HMD) that enables a CV90 operator to aim the vehicle's weapon systems by simply looking at a target.
The company revealed the Q-Sight HMD linked to a Lemur weapon station on the CV90 Armadillo via the vehicle’s electronic architecture for the first time at Eurosatory in Paris.
The unit is gyro-stabilised and fragment-protected, and provides auditory and visual information to signal the direction of an attack, thereby enhancing the situational awareness (SA) of CV90 crewman.
