Euronaval 2018: Thales introduces new naval radar

Thales has launched a new multi-mission 4D AESA radar for small naval platforms at Euronaval 2018 in Paris.

The new NS50 will complement the NS100 and NS200 radars, the latter was revealed at Euronaval 2016, already in the company’s product catalogue, these are designed for larger sized ships. The new radar will be marketed towards smaller naval vessels, OPVs and auxiliary ships.

Thales told Shephard that the development of the NS50 has been fully self-funded and the radar is currently in full scale development.
