Dubai 2013: Challenger 605 chosen for Boeing’s MSA

Boeing has selected the Bombardier Challenger 605 business jet as the base platform for its Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) programme, after announcing the partnership at the Dubai Air Show.

Boeing is offering the MSA as a cost-effective maritime surveillance package that incorporates technologies developed for the US Navy’s P-8A Poseidon mission system on the commercial aircraft.

The Challenger 605 will be modified into the MSA configuration by Field Aviation in Toronto, with first tests expected to be carried out in 2014 and available to customers thereafter.
