DSEI 2015: SlingShot moves to aviation
Spectra Group will launch an aviation version of its already in-service SlingShot beyond line of sight (BLOS) communications system at DSEi in London.
The company is hoping to target NATO military members at the exhibition with SlingShot,which adapts existing tactical radios, such as the widely used Bowman tactical radio system, into a SATCOM capability using commercial satellites to provide real-time BLOS communications.
The aviation capability comprises of an antenna that can be fixed to an aircraft permanently or as a temporary addition.
