DSEI 2015: Selex miniaturises radio

The Handheld (HH) SWave software defined radio produced by Selex is being offered in an updated lightweight mode.

An evolved handheld (HH-E) model weighing just 550g has been launched at the DSEI exhibition in London. It is single-channel and twice as small as the earlier HH variant and is being introduced to the Italian Army.

Mark Byfield, VP of marketing at Selex Optronics and Communications told Shephard that the HH-E has gone through development and qualification and is now in low-rate initial production with about 100 units supplied to the Italian Army.
