DSEI 2015: Raytheon sees Sentinel export potential
Raytheon is offering additional capabilities on its Sentinel surveillance aircraft as it targets the export market, the company said at DSEI in London.
Maritime and multi-mission capabilities are being offered as part of its long term growth strategy for the aircraft. Raytheon is currently in discussion with countries in Asia and the Gulf regarding export opportunities.
The company also has aspirations that the out-of-service date of the Sentinel is extended beyond its current 2018 deadline, arguing that the aircraft has the capability to remain in service until at least 2025.
