DSEI 2015: UKTI showcases industry (video)
Representatives from UK Trade and Investment Defence and Security Organisation (UKTI DSO) used the DSEI exhibition to showcase various technologies on offer from UK industry.
The first deliveries of the UK’s new Giraffe Agile Multi Beam (AMB) surveillance radar systems are set to commence in 2017 according to SAAB.
The new radars will join the existing Giraffe AMBs meaning the UK will have approximately ten of the new and existing systems.
‘We are also upgrading the existing systems but this will be carried out after the new radars are delivered,’ explained Trobjorn Wolffram, sales director for Europe and the Middle East at Saab.
The upgrade will bring the existing systems which are at Mod A and B standard to Mod C build standard. The
