DSEI 2013: L-3 furthers EW products

The third generation of L-3 Linkabit’s PRD-13(V)3 electronic support measures system has completed field trials in a tactical on-the-march (OTM) configuration ahead of delivery to its first customer. 

The testing was conducted in Southern California in June in both the desert in Ocotillo, as well as mountainous terrain in El Capitan.

‘It’s good to show this in a real environment,’ Bill Keirnan, director of business development for Linkabit, told Shephard during the DSEI exhibition in London. 

‘Maintaining a DF [direction-finding] connection while walking is very difficult to do. We’re confident in the system now to continue the demonstration schedule
