DSEI 2013: ITT Exelis adds NVG data to the network

ITT Exelis has integrated its SpearNet tactical radio and Tactical Mobility NVG (TM-NVG) to create a solution that can transfer night vision imagery over a wideband data network. 

The company has internally-developed the SpearNet TM-NVG over the past six months, and introduced the system at the DSEI exhibition in London. 

Speaking to Shephard, Ken Harrison, VP and GM of international night vision communications systems at Exelis, said that the product was a rather simple and low cost development, cabling the two systems together and altering the bandwidth and software contained in them slightly.
