CACI wins task orders for US CECOM SEC support
CACI International has been awarded two task orders for software support services to the US Army's Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC), it has been announced.
The two-year SEC task orders are worth $86 million in total and were awarded under the CECOM SEC Software and Systems Engineering Services Next Generation (SSES NexGen) programme.
Included are a $63 million SSES contract to support the C3T fires division in sustaining the interoperability and reliability of fielded fire support systems; and a $23 million command and control software support services contract to continue supporting the C3T mission command division in sustaining and developing systems that give battlefield overviews to soldiers and commanders.
Ken Asbury, CEO and president, CACI, said: 'These two awards on the SSES NexGen vehicle continue CACI's record of success supporting the army's SEC. In addition to enhancing our business in our C4ISR and logistics and material readiness market areas, this work gives us the opportunity to rapidly deliver next-generation software that fills a critical need - providing our troops with an operational advantage.'
CACI's US operations are appraised at Maturity Level 3 of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development.
John Mengucci, CEO and president of US operations, CACI, said: 'CACI offers proven subject matter expertise, project management skills, and recognised CMMI credentials to provide the high-value software development, sustainment, and acquisition solutions our armed forces need to ensure system readiness, information dominance, and ultimately, the safety of our troops on the battlefield.'
