Booz Allen receives radio support contract
Booz Allen Hamilton has received a three year, $20.2 million contract from the US Army Project Manager Tactical Radios (PM TR) and the associated Product Management Offices, it announced on 29 March.
As per the contract, the company will provide a range of programmatic, technical, and sustainment IT support services. It will use programme management and acquisition techniques to build on existing support of the PM TR and Product Management Offices’ mission to procure and field tactical radio network communications systems.
The company will also provide support to the newly transitioned product leader waveforms in performing Software Defined Radio (SDR) waveform maintenance, development and upgrades for the army’s advanced radios. Additionally, Booz Allen will assist PM TR product managers, including mid-tier networking vehicular radio, handheld, manpack and small form fit radio, and airborne and maritime/fixed station.
Brian McKeon, executive vice president, Booz Allen Hamilton, said: ‘This award reinforces our communications market strategy. We are pleased PM TR selected us to continue to partner with them in their important mission to deliver, maintain and upgrade mobile ad hoc networking waveforms and network enterprise services to enhance tactical warfighting capabilities.’
