Bittium products for Austrian tactical comms
Bittium’s tactical backbone network has been selected by the Austrian defence force as part of its new tactical communication system. The contract signing is scheduled to take place by the end of December 2018.
Bittium will supply equipment as part of Kapsch BusinessCom’s winning bid. This will include its software defined radio based Tactical Wireless IP Network system, which will be the core of the new communication system, as well as Tough Comnode and Tough VoIP products.
Bittium’s share of the total contract value is around €30 million. Product deliveries are expected to take place during 2019-2021.
