Australia reveals new Bushmaster variant

Australia’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) showcased a new variant of the Thales Bushmaster 4x4 protected mobility vehicle.

Displayed at the Land Forces 2016 exhibition in Adelaide from 6-8 September, this Bushmaster variant has been designed to support a number of mission fits, one of these being electronic warfare (EW).

That will enable the Australian Army ‘to perform a number of different operations in a modern complex operating environment,’ according to a spokesperson. CASG added, ‘The vehicle is designed with the ability to effortlessly change the role of the platform without making major modifications to it.’
