AUSA 2013: Silynx launches next-generation headset

Silynx will launch a next-generation variant of its C4Ops hybrid headset at the AUSA exhibition next week, aimed at supplying the technology beyond the special operations community.

According to Matt Hein, CEO at the niche communications company, the ‘Clarus’ headset is a cheaper alternative to the C4Ops system which has proven popular amongst NATO special operations units.

The latter device comprises a tactical hearing protection/enhancement system in the form of ‘ear buds’, which also incorporate three different types of communications equipment. The headset is designed to improve communication in extreme noise environments.
