Northrop Grumman is working to integrate its STARLite wide area surveillance radar system on the TigerShark UAS, it has emerged.
Speaking at the AUSA exhibition in Washington DC, Northrop Grumman representatives said the company was working at the US Navy’s request with Navmar Applied Sciences to fit the radar to the TigerShark.
In early October, Navmar was awarded a $41 million contract to work on a number of TigerShark Block III upgrades, including a ‘Laser Detection and Ranging Identification Demonstration’.
