AOC 2019: Saab pushes latest countermeasures for international market

Sweden’s Saab opted to use the AOC exhibition and conference in Washington, DC, in late-October to push its range of airborne countermeasure and surveillance systems, as the company looks to secure additional sales in the international market.

Showcasing its latest variants of the BOL and ESTL countermeasure systems to attending delegates, Saab officials said that the company had been in contact with Eurofighter operators such as Italy and German regarding the latest developments in the technology.

Improvements to the new BOL system include internal dispensers with the eject port covered by a hatch to reduce radar cross-section.
