AOC 2018: Industry eyes new EW concepts
As recognition of the vital role dominance of the electromagnetic spectrum plays on the battlefield, industry is pushing forward with new EW concepts designed to deliver the upper hand against near-peer threats.
Future conflicts are expected to be conducted within highly congested and contested electromagnetic spheres and amongst civilian populations.
The proliferation of commercial communications technology, such as built-in encryption, has enabled the enemy to camouflage itself within the vast array of civilian signals and is an essential tool in hybrid warfare.
