Aero India 2019: Saab is IDAS-ready for next-gen Indian platforms
Saab and its subsidiary Grintek Defence have a long-standing history in supplying its Integrated Defensive Aids Suite (IDAS) to the Indian armed forces’ military rotary-wing platforms and, as more programmes unravel, Saab is ready to support India’s mission.
From the early 2000s when the IDAS was applied to the Indian Army Air Corps light helicopter, to 2005 with its integration on air force and Indian Army Aviation Corps variants of the HAL Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter, the IDAS has proven to be a vital application in self-protection of the country's platforms.
