Aero India 2013: Thales looks to partner in India

Thales India is in the process of finalising a JV with Bharat Electronics in an effort to develop radar products for the Indian market.

Speaking to a media briefing at the Aero India exhibition, Eric Lenseigne, MD and country director for Thales India, outlined the plans that the country has in India and the importance of partnering with local technology developers.

‘On that JV we are currently finalising with Bharat,’ Lenseigne explained. ‘It has been signed and we are in the process of getting administration approval.’

The joint effort will initially see Thales’ ground-based radar system, the GM-60, be developed
