USAF orders special tactical vehicles for search and rescue
Utah-based BC Customs has been awarded a maximum $70 million IDIQ contract with a five-year ordering period, to manufacture the Search and Rescue Tactical Vehicle – Side by Vehicle (SRTV-SXV) for the USAF.
An undisclosed number of SRTV-SXVs were ordered by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, along with training and ‘accessories for special warfare’, the DoD announced on 19 May.
Work will be performed at Clearfield, Utah, and is expected to be completed by 31 May 2026, the DoD added.
BC Customs already produces the SRTV in its SXOR Mobility tactical vehicle family.
