UAE ambassador claims no truth to F-35 and MQ-9 sales suspension

A diplomat from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has said it is ‘false’ to claim that FMS deals have been frozen for up to 50 F-35A fighter jets and as many as 18 MQ-9 Reaper UAVs.
Various media reports stated on 27 January that the Biden administration decided to suspend the deals pending a review, but that is ‘absolutely not true,’ according to Yousef Al Otaiba, the UAE ambassador to the US.
