Singapore Airshow 2018: Boeing's Asia defence market expanding
Boeing is upbeat about its opportunities in the Asia-Pacific for a long list of military products, including offering the KC-46A Pegasus and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet to India to possible further upgrades for Japan’s F-15J Eagles, plus interest in CH-47F Chinook and AH-64 Apache helicopters.
Gene Cunningham, vice president of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, related that the company views Asia-Pacific as one of the company’s growth areas for the future. This includes new partners and new technologies such as Liquid Robotics’ Wave Glider USV and Insitu’s ScanEagle UAV, he said.
Boeing is in discussions with Vietnam on the military’s interest
