SGA14: US ops escape impact of sequestration

In spite of sequestration, USAF operations in the Asia-Pacific remained relatively consistent in line with US priorities in the region, the commander of the US Pacific Air Force (PACAF) has revealed.

Gen Herbert Carlisle told the Singapore Airshow’s Asia Pacific Security Conference that natural disasters are commonplace in Asia, and the demand for air power from forces such as PACAF is always required in support of humanitarian relief.
