Moscow to order more Su-57 and MiG-35 fighters
The Russian MoD is set to place the first significant order for production-standard Su-57 fifth-generation fighters in 2020; however, this year the Russian Air and Space Force is looking to add four MiG-35S fighters to its fleet.
According to the Russian state-run news agency TASS, the long-awaited order will include 13 aircraft in production-standard configuration. A proportion of these will be powered by the so-called second-stage engine with significantly increased thrust (known as Product 30) rating compared to the first-stage AL-41F1 powering the prototypes and the initial-production examples.
