Ukraine aims Javelin and Bayraktar at Donbass rebels
Units of the Ukrainian armed forces located along the border with the separatist Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics will be strengthened by modern US-made FGM-148 Javelin ATGMs.
In addition Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 armed UAVs will be deployed in the Donbass area, Col Gen Ruslan Khomchak, Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, told local media in early July.
He said that Javelins will be deployed to a brigade in the so-called Joint Force Operation (JCF) zone, formerly known as the Antiterrorist Operation Zone (ATO) in Donbass.
Ukraine plans to arm all army brigades in Donbass with these ATGMs.
