RAF warns of data loss dangers

Senior leadership of the RAF have raised fears of data loss from accelerated data transfer techniques, but expect that key airborne C2 procurement decisions will pay dividends in winning a fight for ‘information dominance’ over adversaries.

‘When you’re integrating swift data transfer mechanisms into things that you really care about, you’ve got to be very careful because you can lose everything,’ AVM Ian Gale, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff at the RAF, told Shephard on 24 February.
