COVID-19 ripple effects cause lasting strategic headaches
The 75th anniversary of VE Day on 8 May marked the end of the Second World War in Europe. The intervening years have seen the continent experience a period of peace and security. While there were occasionally significant tensions in the relationship between the former allied powers, the Cold War never turned hot in Europe.
